They ready the attack

wild-card round

Less than two weeks after having a cardiac arrest on the Cincinnati field, Damar Hamlin has returned to Buffalo and is no longer in a hospital bed. Nothing could be a better development for the Bills as they prepare for their wild-card matchup with the Dolphins today.

The emotional aspect of Hamlin's remarkable recovery, however, is something that trainer Sean McDermott prefers to avoid. At a news conference on Wednesday, he admitted, "Honestly, we only think about the game.".

A soap opera is not what this is. We concentrate on that because we have a match to prepare for.

It could be added to a long list of distractions for some Bills who are trying their best not to become overconfident against some Dolphins who appear to be easy pickings. Hamlin's story, which has inspired the team and the community that has gathered around the 24-year-old safety, has become an inspiration to the team and the community. Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, won't play because he wasn't able to fully recover three weeks after sustaining his third concussion of the year. His first concussion occurred in Week 3's Game 1 against Buffalo.

The Dolphins are listed as 13-point, 5-point underdogs by the bookies with rookie skylar thompson in charge, the biggest margin in the annals of the postseason's wild-card round. Not a surprise.

Thompson is 0-2 with 241 yards and no touchdowns in his two career starts, and he has helped his team score 27 points. Total.

It doesn't look good going up against the Bills, who finished with the second-best defense in the league and gave up 13 points or fewer in three of their final five games of the regular season. Unfortunately for Miami, the Bills have more tools at their disposal than just their defense and mood factor.

Josh Allen, the team's quarterback, commands a flexible offense that ranked second in the NFL in both points scored and touchdown passes with 35. In other news, the Giants will play in the playoffs for the first time since 2016 when they visit Minnesota to play the Vikings for the second time in less than a month.

Minnesota triumphed 27-24 in the Week 16 contest. In a matchup that will likely not feature Baltimore's star quarterback Lamar Jackson, Bengals coach John Harbaugh said on Thursday that his team will host the Ravens on Sunday night. This will be the Bengals' second straight week to play the Ravens.
